Explore Our ProgramHow We Approach SEO Analytics
Most SEO reports feel like reading someone else's homework. We wanted something different — something that actually helps you understand what's happening with your site.
Our method started around mid-2024 when we noticed people were drowning in metrics but couldn't tell which ones mattered. So we built an educational framework that focuses on actionable patterns instead of vanity numbers.
What Makes This Different
Three Core Skills You'll Build
The program runs for eight months starting July 2025. Here's what you'll learn to do on your own.
Reading Data Correctly
You'll learn to spot the difference between meaningful drops in traffic and normal fluctuation. Most people panic at the wrong signals — we teach you which patterns actually require action.
Technical Site Analysis
Understanding crawl reports, indexing issues, and site speed metrics sounds boring until your rankings drop. We break down the technical side in modules that build on each other gradually.
Competitive Intelligence
It's not about copying what competitors do. It's about understanding market gaps and finding opportunities they've missed. You'll get hands-on practice with real tools and real scenarios.
Why We Built This Program
Back in early 2024, we were helping a small e-commerce site in Brisbane. Their previous agency had given them monthly reports full of charts and percentages, but they couldn't translate any of it into decisions.
That's when it hit us — there's a gap between raw analytics and actually knowing what to do. So we started teaching clients how to read their own data first, then how to act on it.
The curriculum grew from those early training sessions. Now it's a structured eight-month program starting in mid-2025, designed for people who want to handle SEO analytics in-house without hiring expensive consultants.
What's Included vs What's Not
We're upfront about what you get. No hidden modules or surprise upsells — just clear expectations from the start.
| Feature | MentraLog Program | Typical Online Courses |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly live Q&A sessions | Every second Tuesday | Pre-recorded only |
| Access to real client data sets | Anonymized examples | Generic samples |
| Tool recommendations | Free and paid options | Often sponsored tools |
| Job placement guarantees | No promises made | Sometimes unrealistic claims |
| Industry guest speakers | Quarterly sessions | Rarely included |
| Ongoing support after completion | Alumni forum access | Limited or time-locked |
Who This Works Best For
You don't need a technical background. But you do need to be comfortable with spreadsheets and willing to spend time each week on coursework — usually around six hours depending on your pace.
Most participants are either marketing coordinators tired of relying on agencies, small business owners wanting to understand their own metrics, or career changers exploring the field before committing fully.
What Past Participants Say
These are from our pilot cohort that ran through late 2024. Results vary, but the feedback helped us refine the current version.
Freja Lindström
Marketing Manager, Perth
I finally understand what our agency reports are telling us. It's made budget conversations with leadership way easier because I can explain the numbers confidently now.
Siobhan Callahan
E-commerce Owner, Sydney
The program didn't promise overnight results and I appreciated that honesty. It took me about four months to really grasp keyword research properly, but now I can do competitor analysis without second-guessing myself.
